A significant safety alert has been issued involving more than 100,000 Paris Hilton-branded mini fridges, which are now being recalled due to a serious fire risk. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), two models of these mini fridges— a 4-liter version available in pink, white, aqua, and hot pink, and a 10-liter version in pink and white— are affected by this recall. The safety concern stems from reports of the fridges overheating, with at least 27 incidents of units catching fire or melting, although no injuries have been documented so far.

The recall affects only units manufactured before August 2024, which were sold from November 2022 to July 2025 through retailers such as Walmart, Walmart.com, Ross, Amazon, and other outlets. Consumers are urged to cease using the affected products immediately by unplugging them and to register for a refund via the recall website at www.epoca.com/minifridgerecall. To qualify for the refund, consumers must provide three photos: one displaying the word "RECALL" on the fridge door in permanent marker, another showing the model and serial numbers, and a third showing the unplugged power cord.

Serial numbers starting with '2024', '202206–202406', or '202206–20240704020' are included in the recall. The serial numbers are crucial for identifying whether a specific fridge is affected.

This recall highlights the importance of product safety and consumer awareness, especially for electronic appliances used in everyday settings. The manufacturers and safety authorities are actively working to prevent further incidents and ensure consumer safety. For complete details and instructions, consumers are advised to visit the official recall notice on the CPSC website.
