Costco Recalls Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke in Over 30 States Due to Listeria Risk

Costco has recalled over 3,000 pounds of Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke sold in more than 30 states due to potential listeria contamination. Consumers are advised not to eat the product.
Costco has issued a recall for more than 3,000 pounds of its Kirkland Signature Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke after tests revealed a potential listeria contamination. The product, supplied by Annasea Foods Group, was sold in the deli section of Costco stores across multiple states including Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the recall on September 20, 2025. While no illnesses have been reported so far, health officials advise consumers not to eat the affected product. The recall was initiated after a positive test result for Listeria monocytogenes was found in green onions used exclusively in the Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke on September 17, 2025. Annasea Foods Group is actively working with the supplier to determine the root cause.
The specific recalled item is the Kirkland Signature Ahi Tuna Wasabi Poke (item #17193), packaged in a clear plastic clamshell with a sell-by date of September 22, 2025 and a pack date of September 18, 2025. Approximately 3,315 pounds of product were recalled.
